Premier Sports Unveils On-Air Presenting Team for Scottish Cup Coverage

PREMIER SPORTS, announces its new on-air presenting team for coverage of the William Hill Scottish Cup featuring the current BT Sport line-up of analysts Chris Sutton, Ally McCoist and Stephen Craigan, host Darrell Currie, commentator Rory Hamilton and pitchside reporter Emma Dodds. The appointment of the existing BT Sport team has been made by Premier Sports in direct response to the extremely positive public support from football fans across Scotland for the on-air rapport, quality analysis and presentation style of the team, brought by Sunset+Vine. Coverage will be produced by award-winning Sunset+Vine, who currently produce BT Sport’s on-screen programming of Scottish football and Premier Sports coverage of the Guinness PRO14 rugby.

 

Founded in 2009, Premier Sports will screen first pick matches from the William Hill Scottish Cup for the next six years, starting with this year’s fourth Round ties between Cowdenbeath v Rangers (Friday 18th January) and Celtic v Airdrieonians (Saturday 19th January). Premier Sports will screen two exclusive first pick matches from the fifth round and sixth round, exclusive first pick semi-final and the Scottish Cup Final itself (along with BBC Scotland).

 

From 2020, Premier Sports will also broadcast live coverage of up to 16 matches in the Betfred Cup making Premier Sports the home of knockout football in Scotland. In addition, Premier Sports expects to continue covering Scottish clubs in European qualification matches.

Experienced broadcaster Darrell Currie will host the in-depth pre-match and post-match discussion with insight and analysis from Scottish football fan favourites Sutton, McCoist and Craigan. Coverage will feature high-level production values, a minimum of 30-minute pre-match build-up plus extensive post-match analysis.

Cowdenbeath v Rangers | Friday 18th January | Coverage from 7.15pm (KO 7.45pm)

 

Celtic v Airdrieonians | Saturday 19th January | Coverage from 4.45pm (KO 5.15pm)
